My first blog

Well, today after reading a friend's blog, I decided to start one of my own. I do not have a whole lot going on in my life. Walter and I do not have children yet, although we have had several close calls. Walter and I met 15 years ago when we worked together. We have been friends ever since, but never dated until 5 years ago. The rest is history, we fell in love and got married. We have a lot of fun together and enjoy traveling. Walter is in the restaurant business and I'm in the medical field, so our schedules keep us from spending a whole lot of time together, but we do what we can. We currently live in Hickory, NC. I am from Spartanburg, SC (born and raised) but moved here in 11/08. I like Hickory. It's a small town with all the things that you would ever need. We are pretty close to Banner Elk for skiing and Charlotte for shopping. Walter is from...everywhere. But I guess Asheville, NC is where he lived the longest. His family is all here in NC at the moment. My family is still in SC. So we don't really have family here in town. But we do have some good friends here and hopefully as time goes we'll get more settled here. Well not really sure what else to say today, so hopefully this whole blog thing will work out.
